Improv for Anxiety: new Montreal-based psychoeducation group!

Hey Monsters – thought some of you might like to know about this project. In this new 8-week group, the facilitators combine theatre games and therapeutic techniques to teach and practice anxiety coping skills. Get in touch with the organizers (contact info below) to sign up or get more information!

Are you experiencing anxiety that you feel is holding you back in life?  If you find yourself avoiding situations you’d rather not avoid, or saying no when you want to say yes, our group is for you.

Come explore your uncertainties, worries, and fears using improvisation techniques in a supportive environment.  Some of the foundations of improv include: saying yes and taking risks, learning to trust yourself and others, embracing and learning from your mistakes, and being spontaneous and flexible.

Our group will help you learn new coping skills and reactions to anxiety, and you will have the chance to reinforce the new skills by practicing them during group meetings.

Join us to explore the ways you can apply these skills to your everyday life!

Sliding scale available.  The group runs for 8 sessions.  Please call to inquire about the current starting date.

Facilitators: Lisa Drupsteen (438-927-9778) and Alexandra Di Paolo (514-560-2887).
